The University of San Diego is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for children under the age of 18 (“Minors”) who visit our campus or participate in university programs and activities. Education and communication is a key component of our efforts to promote child safety. The training videos and guide accessible through this site are intended to provide information about appropriate conduct with Minors, how to recognize signs of abuse, and what to do if you know or reasonably suspect that child abuse or neglect has occurred. Please click the Attestation link below to print out and sign the attestation statement. Please ensure your supervisor has also signed the attestation prior to returning to The Department of Human Resources. All signed attestations statements should be sent via inter-campus mail to The Department of Human Resources, Attention: Risk Management. By signing the attestation statement you are certifying that you have completed in full the following three USD Child Safety training videos: Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse; Boundaries: Guidelines for Protecting Minors from Sexual Abuse; and Mandated Reporting and have read the Sexual Abuse Prevention Training Guide. I understand and agree that it is my responsibility to follow all applicable policies and laws that relate to appropriate conduct with or in the presence of Minors and/or the reporting of child abuse and neglect.
